Eleven Candidates Vying for Four Seats on Vermont Electric Co-op Board

Johnson, VT- Eleven candidates are contending for four seats up for election this year on the Board of Directors of Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC).

The districts, and the candidates who are running in each district, are:

VEC members can vote for candidates by mail or online April 15 through May 9. The winners of the election will be announced at VEC’s Annual Meeting, which will be held on May 11 at Smugglers’ Notch Resort.

VEC members attending Annual Meeting are invited to a complimentary breakfast starting at 8 a.m. The meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. and runs until about 12 p.m. Join Dr. Jay Shafer of Disaster Tech and VEC Chief Operating Officer Peter Rossi for a conversation about changing weather and what it means for VEC’s power reliability and system resilience. There will be an opportunity for Q&A and a drawing for prizes, including a Weber Lumin electric grill, provided courtesy of Smugglers’ Notch Resort.
