What VEC Members Are Saying – Highlights from the Annual Member Survey
Each spring, VEC surveys members to gather feedback on our performance—what’s working well and where we can improve. Your input plays a key role in shaping our programs and priorities, and we extend sincere thanks to everyone who participated this year. This year, 1,255 members (13% of those randomly invited) shared their perspectives.
Here are a few highlights:
• Member Satisfaction: VEC received an average satisfaction rating of 8.51 out of 10, with more than half of respondents giving us a perfect 10.
• Professionalism & Courtesy: Members continue to give our employees high marks for professionalism, courtesy, and helpfulness.
• Areas of Concern: As in past years, members expressed the most concern about the cost of service—a challenge we share, given that many
underlying costs are outside VEC’s control.
• Member Engagement: We were pleased to learn that 77% of respondents read this newsletter—the highest level in more than a decade! We also asked members about future technologies—such as electric vehicles,
heat pumps, and battery storage—to better understand how energy needs are evolving.
At VEC, we remain committed to delivering reliable, cost-effective power and maintaining the high standards of service our members expect and deserve. Thank you for helping us continue to improve and innovate on your behalf.
You can find the full survey report on our website, including methodology and thorough analysis. The survey was implemented for us by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) so they are also able to compare our results to other Co-ops across the country. It is an interesting read!
