Our Mission
Vermont Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric distribution utility that provides safe, affordable, and reliable energy services to its members.

Nationally recognized for innovative and advanced use of technology, Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC) is the largest locally-owned electric distribution utility in Vermont. VEC serves member-owners in 75 towns across eight counties and has headquarters in Johnson with service centers in Grand Isle, Newport, and Richford. VEC employs approximately 100 Vermonters.
