Make Monthly Bills More Predictable

Budget Billing helps spread your projected electric costs over a 12-month period, making it easier to plan your monthly expenses.

To learn more or enroll, contact Member Services at 802-635-2331.

How Budget Billing works
  • Your monthly budget amount is calculated using the average of your previous 12 months' bills.
  • During the first budget year, VEC reviews your account partway through the year and may adjust the amount if usage differs from projections.
  • At the end of the plan year, VEC reconciles your account.
  • You can cancel at any time. Any outstanding account balance then becomes due. If the account has a credit, you may request a refund or apply it toward future bills.
